Full judgment

1. MR JUSTICE WALKER: This case concerns an application by the Nursing and Midwifery Council for an extension of an interim suspension order. The interim suspension order was made on 16 September 2010. On 9 March this year it was extended for a period of 6 months. That extension is due to expire on 14 September 2012. I have a witness statement from Miss Bale which explains how it has come about that as a result of difficulties in reassembling a panel of the Conduct and Competence Committee it was not possible to complete the matter within that time. I am satisfied that it is appropriate to grant a further period of 4 months, which I will order. I have a draft order here. I should just add that the respondent has not communicated with either the Nursing and Midwifery Council or the court in relation to this application.
